Reqursor Credits

How Reqursor Credits work, and how they compare with using your own key.

Reqursor Credits pay for the AI work Reqursor Development does: autonomous development work such as implementing, reviewing and verifying a ticket. Your subscription comes with included monthly credits, and you can buy more, called purchased credits, whenever you need them. Simple work and economical models generally use fewer credits; difficult work and premium models use more.

For what each plan includes and what a top-up costs, see the pricing page.

Two ways to pay for AI work

You choose per install, in Settings → Claude & models, under Provider.

Reqursor Credits

AI usage is paid for from your credit balance, so you connect no model provider key. Usage is counted in whole credits, and spending caps are set in credits.

Your install sends its model requests through Reqursor's inference relay, which meters the usage. The relay's logs hold metadata only, and it does not store prompts or outputs.

Your own key

You connect your own Anthropic API key, or Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI or Microsoft Foundry, and your provider bills you directly. Spending caps are set in dollars. See Connecting Claude for the setup.

Your install sends its model requests straight to the provider you configured. Using your own key stays available. An install that runs on an offline license file can only use your own key.

Included and purchased credits

Your balance can hold three kinds of credits. They are shown separately and never added together, because they expire differently.

  • Included monthly credits come with your subscription. They expire at the end of the billing period they were granted for and do not roll over.
  • Purchased credits come from top-ups. They are kept separate from included credits and are used after them.
  • Promotional credits, if you have any, have their own expiry date.

Credits are used in this order: included, then promotional, then purchased.

Credits are granted only after payment is confirmed. A renewal grants its included credits once its invoice is paid, and a top-up grants its credits once the payment is confirmed.

Where you see your credits

In Reqursor Development:

  • The top bar shows your available credits, with a note such as Low balance or No credits left.
  • The Usage page shows your balance, your included and purchased credits remaining, and what you used this month.
  • A ticket shows an estimate before you run it, and a credit meter while it works.

On license.reqursor.com, your license's Reqursor Credits page shows each kind of credit on its own line and the history behind your balance. Its usage history lists each run with the model strategy, credits, outcome and time.

The usage history shows opaque run references. Names of tickets and projects stay in your install, so open a ticket there to see its credit usage.
